He graduated as instructor under shifu Richard Tix.

After shifu Tix death in 2000, Shifu Lee Kam Wing’s will was that three of shifu Tix’s instructors become his successors, bringing forward the Seven Star style in Hungary. One of these three instructors was shifu Laszlo Kovacs.
