Shifu Bob Spoelstra started under shifu Chui Chuen Luen in 1982 training for about a year and a half until the Mott street school closed in 1983. Most of his training was done under shifu Stanley Moy and shifu Spoelstra assisted him teaching at the Broome street school, until shifu Cheung Wah took over it. Shifu Spoelstra continued his studies under shifu Li Jin Rong until present.
Shifu Spoelstra established a school in Old Bridge, New Jersey (USA) in 1990 and is still teaching there.
