Shifu Michael Voss started his training under shifu Alex Gutierrez in 1979 and he became his top student. Shifu Voss continued to train under shifu Alex until the later moved to Brazil.
Shifu Michael Voss continues training and teaching the systems he learnt from shifu Alex Gutierrez. More recently shifu Michael Voss has visited and trained with shifu Manuel Marquez -another student of shifu Lian Kam Yuen- twice in California (USA).
