Shifu Michael Meinert started his gong-fu training in 1978. In 1985 he started training Qi Xing Tang Lang Quan under shifu Kai Uwe Pel. Later he continued his training under shifu Holger Heek, shifu Brunke Bast and finally shifu Lee Kam Wing.
In September 2001 shifu Michael Meinert travelled to Hong Kong to train under his master.
Shifu Michael Meinert lives in Münster, Germany where he has some schools.
